What I said by re-installing LW without Win32's was *not* to install the
NT version but just install LW and choose to Skip the Win32's installation.
This is what I did...
1) Install LW with win32's (never install the NT version)
2) re-setup Windows '95, leaving LW already set as it is.
The very first time you install LW with Win32's, Windows will say some files
have been altered. You should not re-install LW, just re-install Win'95..
Windows see that some DLL's and configurations have been changed, and only
overwrite those files only. This will allow you to use LW without win32's
and allow you to use 32-bit AVI renders. Before I posted my message I
tested it out on my system by installing LW with Win32's and then
re-installing Win '95 and it worked. However, you should NOT install
any of LW's NT files. This will not work becuase it looks for NT drivers and
Win'95 doesn't have them...You sort of have to fake out LW.
When (or if) you re-install Win'95, it will not overwrite your program
configurations, like you'll still have the same scheme and all the
settings you had before.
The only reason I said to re-install Win'95 is rather than to go into
the INI's and take out the stuff manually, this is the easiest way.
I'm sorry if what I said sounded like to install the NT version. All I
can say is this is how I set my system up (and I did it again before
I posted the message) and it worked...
